Research & Development Cell

Research and Development Cell was formally activated in R.B.D. Mahila Mahavidyalaya on 20-21, December, 2008 when the First Annual Research Meet was held in college in the form of Research Orientation Workshop on Research Methodology in Social Sciences.

Present Status
About 21 Research Scholars are pursuing their doctoral research in the departments of Hindi, Sociology and Sanskrit. Thirteen Research Scholars have submitted there theses. Around 25 Scholars have been awarded Ph.D Degree so far. The details are given below:

Support Services
The college provides research and development cell with adequate furniture, reference books, completed doctoral theses, project works, encyclopedia and specific dictionaries for the researchers. The Research Cell is supported with a network resource centre. The research students can access the resource websites for relevant materials needed for their work. Besides, constant support and guidance from the guides and learned faculty members have been empowering our researchers.
Activities
The Research Cell has scheduled Monthly Last Saturday Seminar. The Research Scholars, MA Project Students and the Faculty Members share their presentation and discussion, which provides orientation and clarity to the participants in their research and project works. The Research Cell also organizes an Annual Meet in the form of Research Orientation Workshop. The objectives and structure of the workshop are given below:
Objective
The objective of the Research Meet is to develop quality culture in doctoral research as well as the dissertations/ project works in the field of Social Sciences such as Sociology, Political Science, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Drawing & Painting, Home Science, Education, Environment Education etc.
Orientation by the Experts
The invited Resource Persons from the Universities/Institutions of Higher Education orient the Research Scholars & Project Investigators on various aspects of Research Methodology. The researchers on their part get the opportunity of free interaction with the experts regarding the problems and constraints of their researches and project works.
Presentation by the Research Scholars
The Research Scholars/Project Investigators of R.B.D. Mahila Mahavidyalaya/Other Colleges/Institutions are invited to present Synopsis/Tools/Pilot Studies/Research Papers related to their research and project works. The researchers are required to present their Synopsis in following sequence: 1. Title of the Study 2. Rationale of the Study 3. Objectives 4. Hypotheses 5. Scope & Delimitations 6. Methodology: Population and Sample, Tools, Procedure of Data Collection, Analysis Techniques 7. Expected Outcomes. The facilities like OHP/LCD Projectors are available for paper presentation.
