Library & Reading Hall

Rani Bhagyawati Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya maintains a library and allied support services in a double storied spacious building equipped with adequate furniture. The objective of the library is to facilitate the latest information to the faculty members, researchers and students. The library is in the process of automatation. About 3.5 thousand B.Ed books have been managed by using library management software, which helps in searching, reporting and day to day transaction. At present the library has a collection of around 25,000 books including 10,000 reference books, 150 encyclopedia and 60 dictionaries. Besides, the library  receives 28 journals and 14 magazines both national and international in the area of Higher Education, Primary Education,  Educational and Sociological Research, School Education, Value Education, Educational Planning  &  Administration, Social Change, Cyber Literatures, Political Philosophy, Public Administration, Sociology, International Affairs, Open and Distance Learning, Environment Education and Women Empowerment. Library has the subscription of Employment News, 4 Hindi Dailies and 2 English Dailies.
    There is availability of Ph.D theses, Project Reports and Reference Books in the field of Hindi, Sociology, Political Science, Home Science, Sanskrit, English, Urdu, Drawing and Paintings, Education, Child Development, Women Empowerment, Dalit Studies and Minorities.
    The Library has housed a spacious Reading Hall, Separate Reading Room for faculty members, Research and Development Cell for the researchers and a Net-work Resource Centre. The Library has been equipped with adequate computers and internet facility. The stakeholders can access and fulfill their latest information needs. The Library also takes part in the process of Guidance and Career Information Services looked after by Centre of Career Guidance and Counselling.
    The Library provides various services to its users like reading, circulation, transaction, Xeroxing and internet surfing. The Library has an Academic Excellence Corner. Here, the books, research papers, articles authored by the distinguished faculty members, workshop reports, modules and souvenirs of the national seminars conducted by the Mahavidyalaya have been presented as the unique part of the library.
